Michael K. Williams: A man who supplied fentanyl-laced heroin to the late actor has entered a guilty plea

On Wednesday a Brooklyn man accused of selling drugs that contributed to actor and producer Michael K. Williams overdose death entered a guilty plea.

According to the prosecution Cartagena was the one who carried out "the hand-to-hand transaction."

An announcement was made on Thursday by the US Attorneys Office for the Southern District of New York.

He "dealt the fatal dose that killed Michael K. Williams" in doing so.

The attorney for Cartagena was contacted by CNN for comment.

According to the court record, Carlos Macci one of Cartagenas co-defendants pled guilty to conspiring to distribute drugs on Tuesday.

Hector Robles and Luis Cruz the other two accused males have entered not guilty pleas.
