Kevin Na withdraws from the 2023 Masters after nine holes
Na 39 finished the first nine holes at Augusta National in four over par and then withdrew from the competition citing sickness.
Na was participating in the Masters for the 12th time overall. This year’s field includes 18 LIV golfers including him. Na never placed in the top 10 at the Masters although he did finish in the top 15 three times in a row placing T-13 in 2020 T-12 in 2021 and T-14 in 2022.

This week at the 87th Masters Kevin Na won’t be able to say the same.
On a dreary Thursday morning at Augusta National Na shot a 40 on the first nine holes before withdrawing from the competition due to an unexplained illness.
On the 10th tee Na notified Weir that he was quitting the tournament. Weir said after the round “Im not sure whats going on but he told me earlier he wasn’t feeling good.
“I believe he just handed me his card and said “I’m done” before leaving.”
Na has placed eighth and twenty-first in his first two LIV Golf starts of the year. Na fired 72-66-69 in his third round a week ago in Orlando to place 23rd.

Greg Norman stated that if a LIV player were to win this week the other 17 LIV professionals competing would assemble at the 18th green on Sunday to congratulate the winner. Now it appears that at least one member of that team will refrain from taking part in any planned festivities.
